Hola all!
I am happy to say I have completed the tunic portion of the loinging pajamas I have made from one of my favorite bedsheets.
It will be such a joy to wear this soft top!
I was afraid it would look dull, it is a subdues color palette, much more so than I would wear. I like the way the hem trip looks. It looks rich.
I am making the pull on pants tomorrow, and I may sacrifice a pillow case to use the hem trim on the pants.
Here is a fun composite of me wrapped in the sheet:

That's a very nice top. What type of fabric is the sheet? Linen? Cotton? Poly-cotton?
Just yesterday I was agonizing over whether to donate old sheets, or save them for muslins. I saved the cutest one to make a dress for my granddaughter.
Maybe I should think about lounge wear.
I did suggest to my husband that I could make muumuus with the sheets.

Love the tunic, love the toga photos.

Very clever -so far I haven't considered the trims on the sheet projects but will watch for the special ones or consider gasp buying some trim to do something similar. I am getting very fond of lounge wear made from sheets. I stopped cutting the nicer solids into muslins( only the really ugly prints for muslins and drop cloths) and really do make muu muu type summer night gowns summer robes, etc. from them. I have a lot of vintage soft cotton ones I brought from my mothers things and a lot my daughter wanted gone the last time she moved. Solid sheets to me are great fun to play around with doing lounge wear. I bought a set of king size flannel that I am considering harvesting the fabric but feel a bit guilty taking the scissors to them since that is definitely not recycling at its finest.

How fun to use something like this! Makes me want to "surf my closet" to find some old sheets I can't use. The mauve color I like a lot and using the trim for your trim is a great idea! Can't wait to see the pants.
