Date: 11/5/12 9:52 PM I'm a bit perplexed what goes where on a lekala pattern. I can't figure out which is the right way up for the side facing that attaches to the back facing.
Yeesh. these are huge photos. Sorry. I'll try redo them smaller
this is the back facign - the 90 degree angle will obviously be the CB where the zip is, so the other angle (nearer to where it says "beam") will be the piece that attaches to the front facing.

this is the front facing - which end do you think attaches to the back facing. The end nearer the camera lens? Or the other end where the "beam" is written on it?

Date: 11/5/12 10:37 PM the pieces look like the interfacing part of the dress.
Is this the pattern a dress.

Date: 11/5/12 10:44 PM I think the first picture is the back of the dress. Straight back is zipper part.
the next two looks like the part for the front of the dress.
Now did you get a sheet of paper where your pattern layout is located on. take a look at that. Just how the pieced lay out is where they should go. I have a few jacket patterns that is what i got when i downloaded them.
check it out It kinda shows where it goes. ------ Galatians 5:22-23 The Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control. There is no law against such things as these |

Date: 11/5/12 10:47 PM Yes thats the dress, there was no cutting layout at all for this particular pattern. It only tells me how many to cut on the instructions too.
I know which part is the back facing and where the cb zipper is on that, but cannot figure which end of the left front facing (the long bit which there are 2 photos of) joins to the back facing. ------ Check my blog :)

Date: 11/5/12 11:05 PM the second one should go at a slant to the front side.
the bottom picture where is it says bf-am-
should be the shoulder Hope this helps.
If it isn't just put the pieces to what might look like the picture. ------ Galatians 5:22-23 The Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control. There is no law against such things as these |

Date: 11/5/12 11:35 PM I would try laying them on the front piece and see how it fits. I would expect the end of the facing to line up with the front princess seam. The curve of the edge should also match. The slants of those two ends are quite different so I think it would be obvious if you tried to fit it together the other way (pin the pattern pieces together) that the slope of the facing was too far one way or the other. |

Date: 11/6/12 1:23 PM I'm a little late, but the arrow for the grainline (beam) points down, so the end it's pointing to is the bottom. |
