My sister wants to make pj's for her grown daughter who is teaching in Japan. And she just happens to love skoobie doo! Several on PR have suggested checking quilt shops for good flannel. Of the 3 in my little town, one store had flannel--5 bolts of really good stuff. Not a lot of prints but it's thicker and heavier and really sews up beautifully.
