1 member likes this. Date: 11/14/12 6:01 AM Hi there !
I'm going to sew the Origami coat from Lalimaya (Small French pattern company).
I played with my drawing software and I just can't pick a version between the last 4 ones I selected.

So... I put up a small poll.
The vote happens on my French blog, so all numbers will be adding up in one place. I created a special page there for English readers but both “French” and “English” votes are recorded there. Poll for origami coat
You can find the details (Fabrics, pattern) on my English blog : Origami coat : help needed !
Same thing in French : Manteau Origami : votez !
Many thanks in advance for your input.
The designer of the pattern has voted... But I'm not sure I should tell you which one she picked, I don't want to influence you !

no, really. But prefer no.1 if you don't want to try doing no.2 sleeves on it. ------ Sandy in the UK

Date: 11/14/12 7:13 PM Number 2 was my favourite (I voted on your blog).
It's a gorgeous pattern, I'm off to have a look at what else they have. The last French patterns I had on my want-list became unavailable before I got to buying them, so I might take the plunge with this one. ------ Mel (Melbourne, Australia) |

Date: 11/14/12 8:06 PM Number Three, The sleeves look much better to me if they are all one color. Don't have to match. Three is definitely slenderizing. ------ http://lasewist.blogspot.com/ |

I agree with all your choices and that's my problem
I'll close the poll on monday.
There are already 96 voters so I guess the vote trend will stay pretty much the same now.
Looks like it's going to be #2 by a good margin. (which was also the choice of the pattern designer by the way).

Mel.J : I suppose you're talking about "Au bonheur des petites mains" ? I was pretty bummed about it also because I didn't get the chance to buy one of their unique patterns before they shut down.------ Blog in English : http://www.couturestuff.com

Date: 11/15/12 5:41 AM Yes, that was them. I had a long wishlist, but because of the language barrier had decided to wait & see a few reviews. I was surprised (and disappointed) that they disappeared, since their designs were so fabulous.
I suppose it's unrealistic to hope that someone will re-open that business, but I think if the patterns were translated (like Maria did with Shop Onion) they would have a much bigger market.
One day I might have a go at recreating some of the ones I really liked.
Good luck with your coat. ------ Mel (Melbourne, Australia) |
