Date: 11/17/12 6:18 PM I planned carefully where I was going to use my 5 votes only to find that after my first vote, it said I only had 3 left. I scrolled down to discover my second vote had randomly been given to a garment I didn't even have on my possible list.
I think there has been a few other examples of this mentioned on the refashion contest thread. Can the voting be reset and the glitch sorted before the open voting is announced?

Date: 11/17/12 9:04 PM Sounds like its an issue that depends on some specific set of actions or maybe a particular browser. Those are the hardest to track down until you can figure out just what triggers the issue.
Aside from the possibility of browser choice, I wonder if the order you view entries, images, or reviews with respect to voting affects it at all. For instance, in one case, I viewed one entry, and then went back to vote on a different entry I had viewed earlier. I'm not positive, but I think the incorrect extra vote was for last item I had viewed. This may not have any bearing, but I thought I'd mention it.
EDIT: I'm seeing a post about accessing the gallery via a link in the contest thread and I believe that might explain it. I accessed the gallery that way some of the time, and I believe I did just prior to voting.

Date: 11/18/12 0:38 AM This happened to me as well. I think it was as GwenH described, as the extra one I voted for was definitely one I had viewed but had no intention of voting for.
I feel the whole voting process feels unreliable now, I'm not happy that the 'winner' will actually be the one we collectively want. |

Date: 11/18/12 8:53 AM Judging from the thread in the contest section, I wonder if the issue was also related to HOW a person accessed the voting page. I went through the Gallery link on the main page.
It seems the provided link in the contest thread went to my review-- and no, I had nothing to do with someone else posting that link. I didn't link to voting that way, so I don't know if that made a difference for anyone.
If it helps, you can just remove my review as a contest entry. I don't want my submission to cause problems for voting for someone else. |
