Don't ever do this to a tea towel!

Now I have gummy stuff on it. I already tried Goo Gone then laundered it again. Got a lot out but not all. Why did I do this? Was I asleep doing laundry? I don't know but will never do it again. I want to save this towel because I need to embroider on it. Everything is so expensive - even nice cotton tea towels. Does anyone know of a laundry product that would take care of this? Save the tea towel! Thanks.

Put it in the washer and now there's no sign of sticky stuff! Good Luck! JR

However, I will try it if Shout Advanced does not get it out. I got it yesterday - it was reasonably priced. If it isn't out I will also try the Goo Gone again with Dawn dish soap. I will let you know. Thanks!

This poor tea towel has been through laundry but is still holding up. I put the Goo Gone on it, then Dawn (had to buy some), used a soft tooth brush to gently brush it in. Saw a shadow of the sticky stuff and thought it didn't work. It dried and then I didn't see a shadow. Laundered it again...and it is GONE! Yippee! I will always have Dawn in the house. Thanks so much!
