Koala vs Unique Sewing Cabinets vs ???? What works best for today's new big machines?

How you liking it? I realize that this topic *maybe* should be in the Sewing Spaces category here on PR.... But with the new, heavier machines, wide model machines... I think I have pictures somewhere in the Sewing Spaces topic. Model 450L, as it has 4 drawers on the left side. 48 inches wide, and has the drop down leaf, which I occasionally now use. I've had it since March 2008 and love it. Natural stain on Birch wood. I prefered it to Oak. They discontinued my model and went with one wider, I think. See the 472L, as I believe it is nearly the same as mine. You need to call Patrick and ask him which cabinet for which machine. I would not know, as machines change so fast. Very solid and they will customize it or them you may need more then one RipS. because you have several large machines. He delievers them to you. Can take several months to get. Also look at Gristmill they also custom make and they are really beautiful. I have been going back and forth for over a year as what to get. For now I have my machines one on a heavy desk (bad height) and one on a Galant Sytem table from Ikea with the adjustable T legs that is working ok. But I really want Flat SPACE and sturdy and no vibration, flexable and good looking easy to mess with everything. Since I have all front loading bobbins I think I prefer the Unique set up though I like the look of the Shaker Gristmill cabinets more. SewPerfect tables are another option that is much more resonable and he wil all customize but not as much. ------ Bernina 750Q, 635E, 380, Serger 1100DC

The Unique dude is up in Cheyenne, Wyoming, right? (Just wanna make sure I'm not confusing companies) If so, I met him at a quilt show here in my town this summer. Cheyenne is only 120 miles from here. I just posted pics this morning of my sewing room on my newly-started blog. I've only been here two days... so be kind... I'm thinking for the short term, just to get comfy, I'm going to spring to get a second Gidget 2 for the EG from Amazon ... and a couple of those Costco folding tables that people have been raving about. She's 14 and deaf now. If you look carefully at the last pic, there are two dog beds in front of the fireplace. I have the fireplace on low... and those dogs are lovin' it. My little weirdo, Bella, is in one of the beds. Bella is also known as Marilyn around here... because when she hears the furnace come on, she goes and lays down on one of the heat vents. They love to sit in front of the heat vent below the cabinet under the kitchen sink. I have a nice soft mat there for my feet (hardwood floors hurt my feet), so when they hear the heat come on, they head for it. If I am in my sewing room, Mocha likes to lay on the vent and get the heat. Cookie likes her round bed better. The vent is close to my Unique cabiinet. Mocha also likes to lay at my feet under the cabinet, away from the vent. The funniest thing is when we turn on the gas fireplace. Mocha likes to watch the flames come on! We go to the switch and she gets excited to watch the flames. Then she ignores it. Cookie will wait until the area in front is nice and warm with the blower pushing the heat out, and then lays down in front of it. ------ Quilting is relaxing to me.
