Here is a quilt top I just finished for my best friend, she is a music teacher. This is the one I started to do quilt as you go but didn't like the results. Now the sandwiching and the quilting and binding, the empty square are where I'm going to be doing stippling embroidery not sure if you can see it but all the fabrics have gold sparkles in them

thanks, now for the fun part. I can sandwich it but need to wait for my embroidery foot. Mine split in half not sure what happened was talking to my daughter and not paying attention and I accidently hit the foot lever and the foot pedal at the same time and the hoop wasn't in place and the foot came down on the hoop and cracked in half. Foot went one way and needle went the other luckily not at me and the tiiming seems ok. But one is on the way.

Love the musical notes. For those of us who sew alot, strange incidents take place with our machines and we miss them so when being repaired. I somehow managed to take a chunk out of my bobbin case with a bent needle when I got a needle jam; my Elna 740 is in shop getting fixed now.

It is lovely, and the embroidery sets it all off. You should be very pleased, I know your friend will be.

thanks guys. I'm hoping to get over to Joanns tomorrow as they have some quilting fabric on sale for $1.99 I don't have enough of any of the fabric I used in the quilt for a backing. I as going to make a backing out of strips but it will take too long and I'm eager to get to the quilting.
