I'm currently working on the Stacie jean jacket from Style Arc:

Style Arc Stacie jean jacket pattern

The pattern instructions don't call for any interfacing--not on the collar nor the front band facing. Is this typical for this style of jacket, or since this is a pattern for more experienced sewers, is interfacing implied? Or would there be some reason to not interface the collar/button band facing?

The only other Style Arc pattern I've made so far was a knit top that didn't need any interfacing, so I didn't know if this was just typical for Style Arc or not.

FWIW, I'm using a mid-weight corduroy that has plenty of body as my fabric.

SA tells you when they recommend interfacing; they refer to it as "fuse" and it's listed with the fabric requirements. I think the seams down the front and around the cuffs will provide all the "heft" needed, and skipping the interfacing will probably give you a more RTW-like garment; the front will probably hang better - more softly - without interfacing. If you're really freaked out about not using interfacing, then try a very light one - much lighter than you think you need for your fabric.

I'm working on a jean jacket right now. It's from Silhouette patterns. The instruction has "this pattern works very well without any interfacing" in very very large, bold print.

With denim I think it should be stiff enough without additional interfacing.

I just finished a Silhouette pattern that said the same thing. It really just depends on your fabric. I chose to use a light interfacing with mine.

Thanks for the input, everyone! I haven't made a jean jacket before, so I just wasn't sure.

I've started on the construction without interfacing (I think my corduroy has enough body that I'll be okay without it).

UPDATE: I got most of the jacket body assembled today, including the collar and facing. I think that skipping the interfacing was the right call for this jacket.
