I just got this email this morning.
Embrilliance

I am new to machine embroidery and have not idea if this is a good buy. Is it simple to use?
Is it comprehensive enough to do some basic designs?
Anyone have this who would recommend?

That's a good buy because it includes the Thumbnailer. It is editing software, not digitizing. It is pretty easy to use. It will allow you to combine designs, add lettering, resize, etc. You will not be able to create your own designs.

Yes, that is a good deal. I paid $149.00 without Thumbnailer. I'm finding it a good, easy to use program. As was said, you cannot digitize with Embrilliance.

I have other software, but purchased Thumbnailer for the convenience it offers for viewing and finding design files.

If I did not already have the other software (which came with my EM), I would purchase Embrilliance.

Can you put Embrillance on both a desktop and a laptop or are you limited to one computer? I have several DG software but don't use it much as I don't find it very user friendly.

One license give you unlimited access to put it on any PC or Mac computers. I like the stitch out video. I wish it had more fonts- pricey to add on. If you know about embroidery software I think you will like it. I like Stitch Buddy better for editing on a Mac- its the simplest program I found- perfect for just editing or merging designs. I don't digitize though so the easier the better.

I am thinking of buying embrilliance thumbnailer to see my designs.
I have some designs that are DST and PHC. I will be able to see them. That way I can see what is on my floppy disk.
