Cloak pattern without hood? plus question about clasps

There are a few current patterns for historical costumes from the big 4 that could work, but they all have hoods, and the cloak from the book and movie doesn't have a hood. Does anyone know if there's a cloak pattern that doesn't have a hood or where the hood is optional? I know it wouldn't be hard to just omit the hood, but I thought I'd check here first. Also, the cloak will be reversible, so I'm looking for a good clasp that will be easy to use no matter which way she decides to wear the cloak. Does anyone have any recommendations for places to get such clasps? It's a poncho, but it's easy enough to add length. This would be a full circle cape, though, which is alot of fullness, and depending on the fabric, pretty heavy. Butterick 4266 Twin Roses Designs has some gorgeous cloak clasps. The ones I've bought have been of great quality and beautiful too. She is a professional costume designer. NAYY, just love her stuff.
