Date: 12/2/12 2:08 PM I just moved to the Douglasville, GA area and I'm hoping that this close to Atlanta, international pattern magazines are available at local newsstands. Anyone know where I can buy Burdastyle and the like? I'm interested in finding fabric stores as well, but those are pretty easy to find online. THANKS! |

Date: 12/6/12 5:32 PM As for Fabric Stores, Gail K has more fabric than you could possibly believe a store of it's size could hold. Nice buttons too. Not at all convenient to you, but if you ever find yourself in it's neighborhood you should stop by and take a look. ------

When I lived in Greenville, SC I could find Burdas at Books A Million, but that was several years ago and I have not seen them at any other BAMs.

It depends, sometimes I think driving anywhere in Atlanta is taking a huge risk. I've lived here five years and still haven't gotten to Gail K or Whipstich, only driven by while riding in a car with my husband, he was working and couldn't stop.
It would be so nice if we could get a better fabric place out here in our part of town. One of these days I'm just gonna have to schedule a whole day of just sewing shopping, if I can brave that Atlanta traffic by myself. |

I did once go to an Elna dealer and had to drive through the dodgiest neighborhood I'd ever seen in Atlanta . . . ------
