I have one of Joann's "Home Hobby Tables" (see link: table). I think it was made by Sew Essentials. Two of the castor wheels have broken off and need to be replaced. Those 2 legs currently have children's blocks under them to make the table level. I've looked unsuccessfully at Home Depot and Ace Hardware for replacement castors. Has anyone replaced their castors on this product, and if so how did you go about it?

Thanks!

Not this one, but I did get a package of free casters/wheels from the manufacturer of a different brand.

If this is a Sullivan Hobby Table, contact them - Sullivan

I buy my castors at Lowes. don't know if they have the kind you need.. but they seem to have a better selection than HD.. Good luck. You may have to replace them all .. all at once.. to get a set that matches and keep your table level.. so if you don't find two like what is on them. consider replacing them all.

You might want to check out your local shoe repair shop as a possible source.

Recently I had to replace a wheel on a piece of luggage and went to my local shoe/leather/luggage repair shop. The owner brought out this huge catalog with hundreds of wheels listed - I had no idea there were so many varieties and configurations out there!

Have you done a google search by Manufacturer? They might sell them. Good Luck.

Here's some at Ikea online:

BESTÅ Caster

If you do a search of "caster" at the site, several other options will show up.

I had the same problem w/ my castors. I didn't want to spend more money than the table was worth, so I removed all of the castors and purchased (at Joann's on clearance) some furniture gliders. They are round with a sticky back. I attached the sticky back to where the castors were and found that the table moved better with them than before with the castors. The only drawback was that the table height is a little shorter.

I have the same table and was able to buy 4 castors for about $16. I originally replaced the wheels about 3 years ago and it was very easy. I just unscrewed the wheels that were there and screwed in new castors. Unfortunately now the little piece that the wheels screw into has fallen out. Now I don't know what to do except stack something under that side for stability but I fold mine up quite often.

I have this table -hope this doesn't happen. I got it once really cheap and it works really well for me to fold it up and cover with an antique quilt when it needs to disappear as it lives in my living room in a blank space in a corner. Please let us know if you found a solution. I really need it to roll easily. If this one dies/falls apart I think I am going to buy one of those better made wooden ones with a drawer I saw someplace online since I really use it for cutting and disappearing-really hope to keep this one rolling though. My mat hides behind the piano when the table is folded up so it is such a win win cutting table for me.
