What do you guys think about this machine? I wanted to try embroidery but I don't want to spend so much $$ as a start..

Any input will be appreciated. TIA

I just purchased the 6700 which is the same machine. There is a still learning curve, but I love being able to use my computer to work on the embroidery. The machine is a good stand along machine as well. However, if you are just starting out in embroidery I might suggest a little Brother sewing/embroidery machine. Must less expensive, great instructional manual. If you live near a Singer sewing center that can help give you lessons then it might be worthwhile.

Well.. I actually purchased it already and its on its way. I am good with computers but I feel like this will be a challenge. Oh well I am off for a week so I can try to figure this out. Thanks BTW

This like "locking the barn door after the horse has run away" ie, too late now.

Go to Darlene Cahill's facebook page and read all the posts. You will get some good information. Read through the manual that is loaded when you load the CD for the machine and go through the Wizard. Singer has a forum but it has been hacked. I am hoping they will clean it up and get going with this. Anyway, Darlene will answer any of your questions. Have fun. It is a nice machine. Feel free to email me also if you get stuck.
