y'all are so helpful.

So I'm going to be doing pillow cases & other things I want to add some names to.

I know my machine has a few inmachine fonts - but how do I use all those cute fun fonts that I see on etsy & other places.

is there anyway to use them, w/o buying embird?

If I end up buying embird, would I even be able to figure out how to use it in a short period of time?

thanks for any & all help.

Try lining up some of those built-in fonts and you will soon see that it takes planning to get each letter right where you want it.

Software will do this for you.

Without the software you will have to draw a line, then position each letter (using the trace key you will see how each letter is in a "box") so it falls on the line with spaces in between until the lettering has been completed.

Once you have the formula figured out for caps, lower case and the spacing, you may not need the additional software.

Here is a tutorial that uses print-outs of each letter - Click here.

Thanks PattiAnn

so looks like I'll be investing in soft ware.
do you recommend a specific one?

Embird or Essentials are the ones I see talked about most.
