Date: 12/4/12 2:03 PM I've been shopping around Jo-Ann's for some shirting fabric, but their collection is so sad. The white fabrics are practically see through! The muslins have more weight to them, lol.
Where do you go for quality shirting material? I want to find something that is wrinkle resistant (like the shirts you can find in store), smooth to the touch, and has some weight to it - so its not totally see-through. Does this sound like a particular type of fabric to any one?
Thank you so much for all your help - this is such a great community :-).

Date: 12/4/12 2:12 PM Pam Erny on her blog recommends: Gorgeous Fabrics, The Phillips Boyne Collection, HWA Seng Textile for shirthing. Michael's Fabric is having a bundle sale @ $5.50/yd but no choice. Great fabric. Generally washes well. |

1 member likes this. Date: 12/4/12 6:13 PM I asked for some swatches from michaels fabrics. They sent me soooo many and there are FANTASTIC shirtings! The next time I'm making a dress shirt, I'm going to start there. I've been totally disappointed in my dress shirt fabric from Joanns/hancocks. No more cheap fabric for me. |
