Heads up (aka Buyer please beware!) on ebay B830E

Date: 12/5/12 9:41 PM Recently there was a very rare Singer Featherweight for auction on ebay; the photos had been stolen from one of our own member's legit auction. The "seller" had 0 feedback, had the price listed in GBP, but location as, IIRC, Ozark, AL. Currently there is a listing for a Bernina 830E on ebay; same use of GBP, same seller location, same 0 feedback. This may be someone different and totally legit...but it may not. If I'm maligning the seller, my apologies. ------ I heart Panzy, Pfaff Creative Performance, the sewing machine love of my life! And Rupert (Pfaff 2023), Baby (BL Enlighten), Victor (BLCS), Ash (Bernina 350SE), Pal (Bernina 530), Kee (Bernina 750) and the Featherteen Flock! Most of all, I heart Woo (HimmyCat). Both ebay and paypal pretty much guarantee a buyer their money back, sometimes even if there is no problem. Lots of buyers are getting things for free on ebay that way, and leaving a legitimate seller out the money and the item. Scams go both ways but ebay will always protect the buyer. So, if someone did send them the money for this machine and they do not get it, you can bet they will not be out the money, unless they did something stupid like send a check or cash. It's really too bad though that there are people doing this on ebay and making it really hard for the honest sellers.
