There's a couple of new Buttericks I'd like to make.

5836

and 5846

Which ones do you like?

I probably have too many sewing machines, but how am I supposed to resist when they're either free by the side of the road or people give them to me?

Oh, I have thought about making a shirtwaist for a few weeks now- grew up wearing them. But I do love the first one!

I really like this 5862 dress

I actually almost missed it, and not noticed it, at first just passed it by, from their new pattern line up though, just because the photo has the dress in black fabric, so does not show the lines of it much and also they have it on a plus sized model, so I did not even realize at first that it also came in smaller sizes at all either. But it does. If you look at the line drawing of that one, it's pretty interesting in the drape overlay with that hanging from a strap there.

I like that 5836. So many ways to make it, formal, beachy, I hope the pattern is drafted well.

I've been having some real good luck with Buttericks lately, so I have hopes that they're well-drafted Sadly, one can never know 'til you try it out.

I like the idea of the print too and the solid skirt, but I think this will work just as nicely using all one fabric, whether print or solid. Maybe with a belt or something along the seamline.

I missed it, too. Not very clever of them to make the sample in black, was it? The line drawing is interesting and better shows the details.

I knew I recognised the 5836, it is the same as McCalls 6346
