I want my skirts to last a long time and they will get a lot of wear so I want them to be very stable. or I could to both....? Any input would be appreciated |

Date: 12/7/12 9:34 AM I usually line to the edge with dresses but if I'm making a pencil skirt without a waistband I always use facings now. I made a few pencil and A-line skirts where I lined to the edge and unfortunately they rotated a lot during movement. The facings help them stick in place a little bit better. -- Edited on 12/7/12 9:34 AM -- ------ -- Anne

It's such a quick and simple method that can easily be customized to your waist measurement. I've used the method on both lined and unlined skirts. I wrote a blog post detailing how I do it. |

Date: 12/9/12 6:47 AM Thanks for the input. it makes sense that just lining would want to travel and I will try the petersham thing (very good tutorial, easy to follow) again thanks |
