5 members like this. Date: 12/7/12 9:57 PM Just as I turned down the thread aisle today at JoAnn's, a young mother was backing up her cart with her two small children sitting in the back. She told them, "Yes, he does look like Santa Claus."
I looked up just then and over by the cutting table, a gentleman who did indeed resemble Santa Claus was waiting while his wife was having fabric cut.
He had white hair that was a little long, but not to his shoulders. He also had a white beard that was a few inches longer than his chin.
He was wearing a white T-shirt and a red fleece jacket. I thought he looked like Santa Claus too--I think it was the red jacket--kind of pulled his look together. He had a little grin on his face as I think he had heard what the mother said.
I'm still not sure it wasn't him, but now I know Mrs. Claus sews.

Date: 12/7/12 10:44 PM something similar happened to me in the grocery store last year at this time. An older gentleman who had long white hair and a beard was shopping and a woman with two small children was walking by him and and the kids started yelling Santa Claus. The guy was a great sport and played the part, telling the kids to be good etc. then walked by me and just winked. ------ quiltingwolf.blogspot.com |

Date: 12/7/12 11:10 PM Yep, we've got one that has coffee every afternoon at a local coffee shop. He looks so much so that he actually does play Santa at a local mall during the holidays. All he has to do is don the suit.

Subject: Cute scene at JoAnns today Date: 12/10/12 5:29 PM This post brought back a fun memory about my late husband. He had longish grey hair and a grey beard well below his chin. We were in a drug store one day and a little girl about 7 or so saw him. She smiled shyly and said, "Hi Santa." My husband just smiled and said, "Hi" and she and her mom moved on. I think she really believed she had met Santa that day. Sweet memories. ------ Grandma to arguably the cutest 8-year old ever! |
