I have a couple of embroidery collections that I don't like anymore and would like to sell them. Is that legal?

Probably not becasue you could keep the designs on your computer then sell the CD. That wouldn't be right.
I supose people do it anyway.

I have given away CDs of embroidery designs that I was gifted to Goodwill. Wonder if they sold them or had to trash them?
This is a great question. Lots of things (like software) used to be on CDs and gifted, donated, or sold when no longer used or the computer crashed. I think it would be difficult to make a case against you for a CD that you sold.
I replaced a crashed PC with a computer that has no CD drive- so there is no way I would ever have been able to put a design on it from the old CDs (if I still had them). What a messed up tangle it is nowadays.

You can sell your embroidery collections that you don't use anymore. there are lots of them on ebay. What is ilegal is if you have a signature collection that you copy and use for prophet.
But just to clear some out you can resell them and let someone else enjoy the designs.

That would seem reasonable...but so many of the companies say for use the ORIGINAL purchaser only, and cannot be re-sold...???????
