Date: 12/8/12 1:44 PM I have a couple of embroidery collections that I don't like anymore and would like to sell them. Is that legal?
Probably not becasue you could keep the designs on your computer then sell the CD. That wouldn't be right.
I supose people do it anyway. ------ Ada

Date: 12/9/12 2:33 AM I have given away CDs of embroidery designs that I was gifted to Goodwill. Wonder if they sold them or had to trash them?
This is a great question. Lots of things (like software) used to be on CDs and gifted, donated, or sold when no longer used or the computer crashed. I think it would be difficult to make a case against you for a CD that you sold.
I replaced a crashed PC with a computer that has no CD drive- so there is no way I would ever have been able to put a design on it from the old CDs (if I still had them). What a messed up tangle it is nowadays. ------ re-living my youth through sewing... |

Date: 12/9/12 3:10 PM You can sell your embroidery collections that you don't use anymore. there are lots of them on ebay. What is ilegal is if you have a signature collection that you copy and use for prophet.
But just to clear some out you can resell them and let someone else enjoy the designs.

Date: 12/9/12 3:20 PM That would seem reasonable...but so many of the companies say for use the ORIGINAL purchaser only, and cannot be re-sold...??????? ------ "The problem is not that there are problems.
