Date: 12/14/12 0:57 AM First I just want to say hi all! since this is my first post here.
I was wondering whether anyone knows anywhere to get fabric in upstate NJ. I'm in Hoboken, and I don't always feel like going into the city to get my fabric fix. Except there doesn't even seem to be a JoAnn's around. I'm mostly a garment sewer but any quilting stuff or any tips would be helpful :) |

Date: 12/15/12 6:49 PM Hello from a fellow New Jerseyan.
You do not say whether or not you drive and, if so, how far you are willing to go.
I am in the central part of the state, so I do not have any specific stores to give you. Depending on how far you are willing/ able to travel, you may want to check out Newark, East Orange, Montclair, Springfield, New Brunswick, East Brunswick.
You may find this discussion helpful.
JoAnn's is scarce in this state and Hancock's is non-existent.

Date: 12/16/12 8:56 PM There is Fabric Wear house in Raway... But there really isn't much around. I started sewing just after they closed a rag shop by my house.... figures right? LOL.

Date: 12/17/12 8:27 PM There is nothing here in northern NJ for apparel fabric. Over the years places have closed . I generally order online or hit the city. |
