4 members like this. Date: 12/22/12 6:40 PM There I was, minding me own business, curled up tight in a ball of utter misery. BOTH eyes now burning, itching and driving me mad (allergic conjunctivitis...you don't want it), feeling extremely sorry for myself that FINALLY getting some time off and all my Big Plans to sew up a storm with Panzy have been totally destroyed; Panzy's pal Pal (a Bernina 530) is delayed and won't make it for Christmas; and my eye was so bad last week, I couldn't finish the business case pro forma financials so now am stuck having to work on them over my entire Christmas Week Off.
And to add some serious resentment to the mix, all of my 3 class teammates have buggered off for the holidays, including one gone to Holland for 3 weeks.

In other words, I was in a dangerously weak state.
And THAT'S when it happened...the most evil of all my sewing machine dealers must have sensed the weakness (actually two of them did; another one called me just a few minutes ago, but this time I let my answer machine take it, bwahahahhahaa!!! Can't fool me twice! Very often.)
This most notorious of all dealers, calling to let me know the status on Pal, then asked me how come I didn't sound my usual bubbly self. Well that opened the whining and whinging flood gates!
Come visit with her, keep her company, play on the machines and sit and gossip...
And yeah...duhhhhh me...I fell for it.
I also fell for the "deal you can't refuse".

His name is Qunicy, he's Pal's big brother, and was homeless in Vancouver but had to come over to ensure his baby brother was going to a good home...just wanted to see me and reassure himself...
Well hell, it's CHRISTMAS, people!!! Would YOU leave a poor sewing machine homeless and all alone, separated from his little brother that he cares so much about he came all the way over he just to catch a glimpse of his brother's new owner??!
Well WOULD YA???!!!
Huh. I thought not! ------ I heart Panzy, Pfaff Creative Performance, the sewing machine love of my life! And Rupert (Pfaff 2023), Baby (BL Enlighten), Victor (BLCS), Ash (Bernina 350SE), Pal (Bernina 530), Kee (Bernina 750) and the Featherteen Flock!
Most of all, I heart Woo (HimmyCat). Until we meet again, my beautiful little boy. I love you. |

Date: 12/22/12 7:12 PM You know the situation here.......does this mean I should be expecting to bring home a 780.
That is a beautiful machine.
So, what's up with the eyes? I had a problem with one eye a few years back. The doctor suggested that the ointment be used on both eyes. It turned out that I was allergic to the petroleum base of the ointment and subsequently did have a problem with both eyes. Any chance that you might benefit from a different medication? ------ I have no idea what Apple thought I was saying so be a Peach and credit anything bizarre to auto correct. |

I like the 'no frills' look of that Bernina -- how misleading, the frills are just hidden from view.
