I went looking at the 710 since LynnRowe started a thread about bringing one home. To my amazement, Bernina has posted the MSRP of the 710 as $4599. All their machines are listed with their MSRPs. Finally, a sewing manufacturer with some sense! It is no longer a mystery. Hopefully, the other manufacturers will follow suit. I was surprised!

This is something they added with the new website. More manufacturers need to do this. :)

What a sensible piece of information for consumers. I am feeling less distrustful and more warm and fuzzy already.

I noticed this at their site, too, when I was there looking at their Bernette lower line. I thought it was sensible and fair and helpful, too.

I agree. Welcome change on Bernina's part. Most dealers I have spoken to say their prices are pretty much dictated by the manufacturer, so why not post prices on their websites. I do hope others will follow Bernina's lead. It would make shopping at home, before you see your dealer, a lot less frustrating.

Did you get 30% off list from your dealer? I was offered 6700.00 selling price for the new 750qe machine including the embroidery unit. She gave me a Bernina coupon book with a 500 off card to use but when i got home to discuss it with spouse he noticed it stated in small type that it wasnt valid for any 7 series machines. Ouch! The only one she has is her floor model which i used to try out. She did say all newer ones are being held by Bernina as they replace the 'problems' they found in production so if i order one it wont be available till late March 'maybe'. This price is not including tax... of course. Would this be an acceptable price? Ehat do you all think?

Where on the Bernina USA site are the MSRP posted?
I went there and didn't find any prices, but maybe I didn't search hard enough. Sandy

$6399 is what my dealer was selling the 750 for with embroidery, $4399 without, when I visited back in November. If I go back and find she's gone up, in light of the problems, I'd walk out!
I really wanted to be able to add designs, and add sewing stitches to embroidery. The 780 is so high, but part of me says I should get what I want. My pocketbook, OTOH, says Oh no you don't!

My fave Benina dealer has MSRP and their sale price posted right near the machines. Yay!
