I am totally a zero as applies to all tech skills. I had been using a blog that had a lot of links to go to other sites that I would branch off to get to ones I liked. This blog removed all but a few. What are some of your favorite sewing blogs that have a lot of links to click on? My favorites list is very clogged and I was using this one blog as a favorite to get to lots of sewing hangouts. I found one that has a lot of links but it is just a list and doesn't tell when one has last been updated so I spend a lot of time clicking. My internet is satellite and not all that fast so it would be lovely if the blog with links updated. What is your favorite sewing blog to link out from quickly?

I often do the same thing as I use Firefox and it seems to erase my bookmarks if I haven't clicked on them in a while or have too many.
I like Debbie Cook's blog for this as she includes both sewing and quilting blogs..

Stitches & Seams

For quilting, During Quiet Time, has timed updates also...Sew Katie Did has a nice list, but not timed updates.....both are currently listed on Debbie's blog.

As a note, the times listed on all the blogs haven't been updating properly lately...but it's better than nothing.

------
2009-113.25 yds
2010-115.5
2011-80.25+30+donated
2012 86.3 yds..
2013 21.0

Stitches and Seams is one I have the link for on my favorites to click from. There are a few blogs that I also go to that I don't think she has the links but I am putting some on my favorites bar near the top that will let me get to some more. I really need to clean up my favorites. I don't keep a printer hooked up all the time and I often stick stuff on there I might want to print out or go back to and I need to clean up the favorites. I will put the Quiet Time and Sew Katie on my list as I like some quilting sites also. I am slowly getting my link clicks refound but I was sort of spoiled before the blog I linked from often cleaned up the links and thinned them out. Thanks for the suggestions.

I see you said both were on Debbie's blog links. I can access them then without putting them in the favorites.

Hi, it sounds like you would benefit from Google Reader. Google Reader

Go to a blog you enjoy with a long sewing blog roll. As you click and visit those blogs, you can subscribe or "follow" them via the Google Reader. Once you have picked all the blogs you wish to follow or view in reader, then you can just visit your reader which will show all the posts from the most recent (you can change this in preferences). You also can put a link in your bookmarks bar that has a "g" and Next after it so I can view the blogs without the reader interface, just click "next" for the next blog. You can access that on your google reader preferences by clicking on the little gear on the far right and then click "Goodies" .

This way you will always have your blog list to visit and read and are not dependent upon another person's blog which can be changed at any moment.

I am looking at the link about subscribing to the reader. For awhile I couldn't comment on some blogs I read regularly but lately for some reason they are letting me use the google acct to do that. I am guessing here that the reader is something different from an account. There's a lot of this stuff I don't understand but I am generally lost in cyberspace and apps etc. so thanks for the help on this. I rely on lots of links and clicks to get places so probably need to subscribe to the favorites not that I really even know what that is all about.

I enjoy PR a lot but I find it one of the harder places to search or make a link or post a photo but having zero skills at doing some of the things others seem to do with ease I just chalk it up to all of it being me . I like the knowledge base here but not sure how it would help me link to some of my favorite web spots.
