Date: 12/26/12 2:55 PM Hey guys, by happenstance, I found this really nifty coat pattern that I would sincerely sew for myself if I could only find it in an adult size! :P Does anyone know if it should happen to come in an adult size? It's the Burda pattern 9924 for juveniles.

Date: 12/26/12 3:56 PM Burda actually made an adult version back in the '80s, I think, with those huge, dropped shoulders. It was Burda 5001. There was a bit of a vogue for making this jacket out of silk, and as I recall, Threads magazine had an article about this.
Folkwear's Varsity Jacket is pretty close. You'd just have to put a zipper at the center front, rather than buttons.

Date: 12/26/12 11:55 PM Thank you! That link was extremely helpful. Sometimes it's very helpful merely to know what the name of a garment-style may be that I am looking for.
All my best,
