How do get designs from usb to babylock Ellageo ? I am so frustrated right now. I have the files on a usb and I can not get to the design I want to work on. It is a favor for someone and I thought it would be a snap but noooooo---I have been messing with it all afternoon. The dealer is 40 miles away and I can't just run down there in this weather. I called them and we agreed for me to take my usb down on Tuesday when I go to the dr. I had hoped to work on some things tomorrow but looks like I will have to pick one of their designs. Any clues for me? I could not make heads or tails of the book.

I have an Ellageo Plus and have absolutely no problems getting designs off the USB, I go to the embroidery edit screen pick the USB symbol (not the computer symbol) and voila after a few seconds they appear on the screen, pick the one I want and go. I am not positive but maybe you need an update from Babylock's website for your machines software to get the USB to work on the Ellageo?

I had that problem with a new thumb drive and my ellegante2 machine. Turns out the new drive was too big for the machine to read. I moved the file onto a smaller drive, and was able to pull it up on the sm. Also, make sure it's in the correct format - for mine it is a .pes (I think).

Try opening the design in the embroidery software on your computer.

This will show you if the design is zipped and if it is within the size of the selected hoop you have attached to the EM.

Those are two reasons you cannot open the design on the EM; file is zipped and/or it is too large for the hoop.

I finally got it thanks to all of you! I was using a usb that had all the files on it. I got a 16 g one so I could do that but my thinking was way off. I took all files off and I had not formated it either so after all of that it works. It only wants a few designs on there at a time. So now I am doing a butterfly on a shirt for tomorrow.

Thanks,
Linda

All machine manufacturers recommend that you use a 2GB or smaller USB drive. While embroidery machines are computers of a kind, they do not have the processing power to read the entire stick to locate designs if you use larger USB sticks. I have a 2GB, 1GB and a 512MB stick that I use for my embroidery machine. I keep the 4GB and 8GB sticks for use with my laptop only.

Just plug it into the PC and save the designs to the drive the PC has designated as a removable drive.
