My husband got me DG Embroidery Works Everyday and Embroidery Works Advanced for Christmas ( I am a happy camper!) I have not installed them yet because I really am interested in doing some digitizing also and from what I am understanding these programs do not digitize. They are jam packed with editing features including hoop splitting!
My question is does either Masterworks II or III have editing features for designs I have purchased? This software costs a small fortune and I don't want to install it until I know a bit more about Masterworks. It seems to me that I should be able to edit designs I already have with Masterworks but trying find info about it is like pulling teeth! I also see there is Masterworks Lite that is quite cheap comparatively but does it edit existing designs.
In other words do I have to have separate DG software for editing and digitizing?

Have you been to the Babylock website to read the overview of these products? And, yes you can edit any design you can open - see file.

You can watch a video for Masterworks Here.

And an overview of Masterworks Lite Here.

You need both ML and MW.

The BL site also has FAQ and customer service contact. In the past, I have found CS to be very helpful.

I have been on line to read the about the features of the programs but the information is quite skimpy. The digitizing software information is pretty much just about the digitizing features and not the editing capabilities. I did see that Masterworks III now comes with the hoop splitting which is what made me wonder what exactly are the editing capabilities.
