Date: 1/5/13 10:05 AM Ann Petersen was at our local quilting club a couple of months ago... her work is AMAZING... and she does it all with smaller (relatively speaking!) machines.
Her Beyond Basics Quilting Class on Craftsy is on sale right now.
Her work is just beautiful... and I love her speaking and teaching style.
If you haven't tried a Craftsy class for the sheer fun of it, you should! I've bought a couple of them and they're fun to watch while you sew. They're more productive, more satisfying, and cheaper than going out to the movies! And it's great that you can always go back to them and watch specific parts over and over later. Pretty neat format for information like this, IMO.

On my radar someday: Babylock Serger, and some machine for travel.
My dearest wish is to have Bernina come out with a machine that doesn't give me a reason to *not* buy it.

Date: 1/5/13 10:59 AM I just checked out the students photos of projects--the table runner shown is lovely, and student said it was her very first quilting project. A good endorsement for the teacher. I just signed up for the free sewing machine class, and I will see if my pc does better today. Yesterday there was slack time with teachers voice and photo--maybe my pc needs a tune-up |

Date: 1/6/13 7:01 AM I like the company of sound while sewing. I am getting an iPad with some Christmas money and have bought lots of sale Craftsy classes and some PR classes. I can hardly wait to start listening to them and of course peeking too every so often. ------ re-living my youth through sewing... |
