Singer touch & sew 630 fashion disc not working any ideas??
sewbitchy Member since 6/24/12 Posts: 1	Login to reply to this post Like this post Date: 1/5/13 5:34 PM Hello all!! I scored so big yesterday at a flea market picking up this 630 model touch n sew. I also got a touch tronic 2010. Without even realizing how in demand that one is!!! I wanted it for a back up. So i got super lucky there! Anyway the 630 sews a great straight stitch once i navigated the exhaustingly long manual trying to figure out how to even make a straight stitch!! But when i put a cam in and set it to special it doesnt sew the design on the cam. It gives a zig zag but it also isnt consistent. It will zig zag a bunch of stitches then straight stitch then zig zag and sometimes the machine will keep sewing for a few seconds after i release the foot pedal. The cam does turn while sewing so im sure its a matter of adjusting something. I am making sure the needle is up and button settings are all off when stitching and changing discs as well as making sure its not on special. any help is appreciated!! -- Edited on 1/5/13 5:34 PM --

My hunch is that the linkage needs to be lubricated. If it doesn't move freely, you aren't going to get the pattern. ------ Joe in New Albany, iN
