Date: 1/6/13 7:14 AM My Image have released the cover photo of their Spring/Summer 2013 magazine and according to Facebook it will be available to buy later this month.

Personally, I probably prefer their Autumn/Winter magazines in terms of items that I would actually make, but it's cheap enough (€6) that so long as there's one or two patterns I like the look of, I'll pick it up. Probably the most interesting thing, though it doesn't apply to me, is that they seem to have branched out into plus sizes, right up to size 56. Not clear from the cover whether they are going to be more like Ottobre (almost all patterns are in the full range of sizes) or more like Burda (a few specific Plus size patterns). -- Edited on 1/6/13 7:15 AM -- ------ http://sewingnovice.blogspot.co.uk/

Date: 1/6/13 7:57 AM Many thanks! I've been wondering about the spring/summer issue and will take a closer look at jacket (or cardi?) 1307.
The pants could also be interesting. Has anybody any experience with MyImage pants and how the crotch curve is drafted? Similar to burda or similar to HP or more like the Big4? -- Edited on 1/6/13 7:58 AM -- ------ Happy Sewing! |

Date: 1/6/13 8:08 AM I was squinting at the models on the cover and I wondered if 1307 was the jacket/top thing the lady on the left is wearing on the cover. It looks to have the same frill at the wrist and waist, at any rate. ------ http://sewingnovice.blogspot.co.uk/

Date: 1/6/13 9:49 AM I think so, too! The print is so busy that it's hard to see the details, and the side view does not help to see the silhouette of the garment.
I like the line drawing, however, and would ne ready to test the pants as long as they are not skinny jeans; that look is a no-no for me. ------ Happy Sewing! |

Date: 1/7/13 5:33 AM I thought the same thing! Always refreshing to see plus size clothes modelled on plus size women, rather than the Burda Plus thing where I doubt the models are even close to a 44, let alone any of the larger sizes. ------ http://sewingnovice.blogspot.co.uk/
