Would an 18" x 18" tote bag be big enough for most laptops? I searched online but got different dimensions. The sides and bottom are 3 1/2" wide. I know I have to reinforce the straps (where they connect to the bag) and reinforce the bottom. Let me know your experience with this.

I know they like to use totes instead of computer cases because they can also throw in their books/pads/calculators etc. I would think these cases would have room for these things. All I know is they prefer totes here.

Thanks!

Yes. I make MacBook Pro cases for my Etsy shop and they are about 15" square, with a 2" thickness.

To reinforce the bottom, why not box it, rather than leaving it flat?
