That is a marvelous quilt. Do you know what size it is by any chance?

WOW I didn't know Quiltville has any "normal" looking quilts (ie not scrappy)... Ohhh very Very nice -- I like it.

Are you going to make this? What an unusual layout (or I'm too new to see), that's not On point but love how it looks.

So when are you starting??

Not scrappy?

Sure looks scrappy to me.

Check out the dahlia blocks and the borders.

I figure this person had a few blocks and needed a bigger quilt....and was artistic enough to come up with a gorgeous solution.

The quilting is outstanding.

Brilliant setting and the quilting looks spectacular. Clever use of yellow, too.

The quilt was posted by a fan of Quiltville. It is not one of Bonnie's quilts. It is a leaders and enders quilt. It is on point but with more solid for the setting which I think was done by sewing solid yellow on point in this unusual pattern. My guess is they wanted to make it a larger quilt without having to sew more Dresden Plates. Yes, I love the yellow too.

I've been using Bonnie's leaders & enders off and on for a few years now. So far I've not used then in a quilt, but have a pile waiting for inspiration. The best way is not the way I've been doing it, without a plan. But to make block parts for a quilt pattern where there is an actual goal. I like the Dresden plate idea because they are easy to do.

Scrappy probably is in reference to the "plates"'.
