Does anyone know a good source for denim fabric for making jeans? Especially the slightly distressed/striped denim that you see in RTW like at Coldwater Creek?

Denim is usually something I have to inspect "up close and personal", so I can check the weight, the drape, the color, etc. I keep an eye on Joann's stock and buy when they accidentally get something good in.

Like Karla, I've found some nice denims at JoAnn's.

Marcy Tilton also has very good denims and good descriptions so you can be pretty sure of what you're getting. She's not cheap, but she carries really nice stuff.Marcy's pants fabrics
