My fabric Stash provided many large pieces of fabric to wrap our trees with - and hopefully saving our trees!
This 30 foot tree is the hit of the neighborhood in its earth-toned stripes!

Date: 1/13/13 10:03 PM Lol, but seriously the Earth has turned on its head because it was unseasonably warm in Vermont today for January, 50 degree temperature is not normal! ------ Janome MC6600 Bernina 240 Juki MO735 Singer 201-2 Singer 221-1 Singer 15-91 |

Yes the weather is odd again this year. Buffalo area yesterday in the mid 60's and low 60's today. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the low to mid 30's!

Date: 1/14/13 0:20 AM Wow--that's a great idea! Last fall DH put a heavy king-sized *comforter* on his morning glories, because it was the only thing big enough. I never thought of breaking out the stash. ------ ~Gem in the prairie |

Date: 1/14/13 8:02 AM That is great! Thanks for the chuckle! When I lived in DC and we had an unusual cold snap, all the old sheets and blackets would come out and be thrown over plants and shrubs---it was a funny sight! |

Date: 1/14/13 8:09 AM Here in the Northeast, my trees are too big, but then they can stand the freezing temps. And my stash isn't large enough to throw over 40 foot maples.
But it's warm today; will get up to 55--unheard of for January. ------ "We don't impose our rhythm on Nature. The key is to respect and live within Her." Jean-Charles Boisset, Winemaker
