This time of year, loads of people set their sewing resolutions, and a common one is to sew one item from each Burda magazine.

I'm very proud to say that I completed The Burda Challenge in 2012! I had a few duds, but I also had some real successes, too, and by a stroke of luck, I actually finished the last garment on New Year's Eve.

Is anyone planning on doing it for 2013?

I really wish I could do this but getting a Burda each month is a hit or miss for me, I only know of one store chain that carries the mags and they only stock one or two each month and if I don't get there in time I don't get it.
You can try posting this in the blog sew along thread.

Maybe this is the year but I already haven't made anything out of Jan. Squirly I love seeing your reviews of Burda they are always great!!!

It's whatever you want to do, really! I've also heard of someone who chose to be strict on the month, but not the year - so she's sewing a pattern from one of the January issues in January, etc. Sounds like a good way to make better use of your own personal archive!

This might be more my style (literally) because Alaska seems to be 1-2 years behind the trends. I'm looking to start color blocking soon.

I'm thinking about doing this - one garment from each issue of Burda for a year . First, however, I have a project, I MUST finish for a client - my deadline is looming in the not so distant future, but then I am FREE to sew! So, the first month (January) I may not quite make it, but if I plan . . . . . I am going to try

I have been planning to sew one garment from each Burda Mag during 2013; however, I do like the idea of sewing from any January Burda issue regardless of year. So, yes -- I'm hoping to do it.

BurdaMag 2/2013 arrived in today's mail. There are some pretty things in it. I need to get moving on my January sewing item.
