Working with diamonds -

I get addicted to a size/shape and then go a little crazy working it as much as I can. I did it with simple squares - then HST and now its onto diamonds. I posted pics of the first two patterns already. And then, I made a few tumbling blocks quilts - I have not posted a pic of this one before - but, it is a another denim tumbling blocks quilt - the border is different. All those set in seams --- And then, I found another pattern. After I got the quilt built - I decided I wanted to add some applique to the edges - and this is how it came out. The quilt is HUGE. It is about 116 inches long and about 108 inches wide. Huge. The fabrics are recycled khaki and dress pants. The green edge is some new marimekko I had You can see the quilting - I did it on my grand quilter. Here is a pic that sorta shows the quilting. I like this quilt lots. ------ Drag queen quilter!

Date: 1/15/13 11:11 PM So, yes - all of those are made from the same size piece. a 4 inch by 4 inch diamond. quilting is so cool. I hope everyones new year is off to a great start. School started again. Yuck. If I do well it will be the last semester for undergrad. I dont have plans to go on -- I might have plans but nothing yet. ------ Drag queen quilter!

These are so incredible. I love them all! eta: I really like the idea about using recycled clothing and fabric. Do you use the accuquilt when cutting the recycled fabric? Busy as ever on some incredible quilts! Love them all but especially the denim. Colors on the first quilt is amazing and love the idea of khaki pants being used in the last quilt!
