I am a beginner crocheter. I have made several afghans and have read that filet crochet is relatively easy to do. Have read the 'how to' and am off to the library for some books.
My question is - How long does it take to make a small 6-8 inch doily?
I am a slow speed knitter and turtle speed crocheter. I crocheted the 4ft x 5ft afghan in 2 months, averaging about 2 hrs a night.

This varies so much from one person to another that I think the only way to find out how much time it takes is to actually do it.

It will take less time than your afghan.

Uh huh.

I'd just add: it depends on how obsessive you are.
