Ha! Not these. Lively, bright and exciting is what I would call them. Full of colors. And, I have only clicked the first link. I've fallen in love with the Norcott Stonehenge fabric and it would make great heart leaves for my trees. Charm paks would be perfect for the leaves cos they are small. However I have trouble paying an avg of $12 for a tad more then a quarter of a yard of fabric. I know you still have to pay for the cutting etc. I was trying not to put out any money for this as I have a set of batiks I got for another project. That was fat quarters. I got a great deal on them from Nancy's notions and I have a lot left. But they are really bright. I was thinking of doing each tree with a different theme/color from my various fabric collections. I have a lot of animal fabrics, CW fabrics, batiks as I mentioned. Then I started browsing, I need and program to block all fabric sites lol. ------ quiltingwolf.blogspot.com

I am seeing charms sell for $9-12.00 for 2/3 yard of fabric... Date: 1/23/13 10:06 AM I buy charm packs all the time from Missouri Star Quilt Co. I would not pay $12 for one. They have a daily deal and when the deal is charm packs, I have gotten them for $1.50, or $3.00. or something else incredibly inexpensive like that. Of course you do have to pay to ship it, and I ALWAYS find other things I just really need to get too. The last charm pack I got from them was NOT the daily deal, and it was $6.95 for 29 squares. I wanted a good close hands on look at the fabrics in this line. I think charm packs are GREAT if you don't have a store where you can actually go see the fabrics and you want to know what a particular line is like up close and personal. It would be REALLY expensive to order .25 yards of each fabric in a line just to get a good look at them, and most online fabrics places have a .5 yd or .25 yd minimum cut. The other thing about charm packs is you are getting DIFFERENT fabrics. You can't really compare them to 2/3 of a yard of ONE fabric when you are getting 30+ entirely different fabrics in a typical 40+ square pack. The last thing I will say about charm packs is they are GREAT if you need a quilt fast, or like for me making a quilt for Project Linus. I know the fabrics will coordinate and a child's quilt of simple squares is really fast, EASY and cute. -- Edited on 1/23/13 10:08 AM -- ------ Cathryn
