I've been recently introduced to Colette Patterns and I am very interested in this type of pattern co. have you all come across similar companies that you could share with me?

A good place to start if you are interested in Independent pattern companies is either the review section or the 'Shop Patterns & More' section here.

You can also check out this blog post here by Lizz at A Good Wardrobe for a really extensive list.

Are you interested in the vintage-inspired styles, super-detailed instructions, or both?

any and all of the above - mostly though, I like the unique styles offered by individual designers, I guess.

thanks! just want someone to point me in the direction of where to browse for such.

perhaps the second poster did just this, I'll go looking

thanks for all the input!!

There is a new French pattern company called "Deer and Doe" which is very similar to Colette.

I've never tried their patterns and don't know about shipping, but you can see realisations on the blog "Deer and Doe Addicts" +I think that there are some reviews here on PR.

Try Victory Patterns. They are a nice hybrid of vintage inspired but modern looking.
They are an e-company so all the patterns are available pdf.

I'm not a fan of vintage looks but I do like Victory patterns.

Thank you Rose from Thule! I just ordered 2 patterns from Doe & Deer. They have very cute patterns.

If you just want to find out what's available beyond the Big 4, burda, and New Look that are easy to find in craft/chain fabric stores, just check out the drop-down list of pattern companies. You can go to the sewing reviews and filter for any company that has been added to the list (usually because someone wrote a review). That's how I discovered Marfy patterns, Trudy Jansen, jalie, and Hot Patterns for example. There are some, like brand-new Cake Patterns (only one pattern so far), that I haven't tried yet but look intriguing after seeing what someone else created using them.
Have fun!
