YLI Thread For Serging, but which type?

The YLI brand was highly recommended, but as I entered the shop that carries it locally I realize there are quite a few varieties. I was wondering if anyone here would mind sharing which options/projects variations they choose. FWIW, I would just be using it for seaming. TIA! PS I did try "search," but didn't see a way to search for just posts, instead of the whole entire thread and some threads were very long! I do plan to devour them, but can't at the moment. But I've used some other stuff of theirs before for just more decorative serging but not to hold the seams together. I used their a bit thick and stiff YLI jeans stitch thread, with a way opened up wide 3 thread overlock to finish off the edges of the cascading ruffles on a pull over your head top made of dense knitted polyester micro suede once. that turned out real nice. I think I used two of them, one in one looper and one in a needle but not all three, and I had it look the same and good on all sides of the neck ruffles there. I also used their very nice Pearl Crown Rayon to create a ruffled lace look edge to the top of a simple drawstring neck peasant top once too. To do that, I think I just 3 thread overlocked the top edge of it, then kept doing more and more rows, but now not onto the actual fabric at all, just more into the previous rows stitching more like on air instead. That made really nice looking rayon lacy trim for it that matched the colors in my print blouse fabric way. Also I think it took up two whole spools of it to do that. There would be a lot you could do more just decorative, with that Candlelight rather bumpy metallic thread too. I have some of that on much larger cones and that is fun to use, for flashy stuff not seams, but it only would go though a looper not ever into a serger needle at all I would never use any of those listed above for just serger seaming on anything though, as they really would be the wrong stuff for that. So I think if you just want regular kind of thin spun polyester serger thread to serge seams in woven or knits, you are not going to find it in that brand of thread at all. If you want to do lots of fun decorative stuff instead, then lots to work with there. -- Edited on 1/22/13 10:28 PM --

It's called Aerolock and works wonderfully. I use both it and Maxi-Lock with no problems. Only thing is the Madeira spools are taller than the Maxi-Lock and don't fit in my serger thread box

I checked out their site and they also carry Maxi-Lock for what looks like a good price. ------ Now a Babylock girl almost all the way - Ellegante 3, Evolution, and Melody. Plus a Sailrite LSZ-1 for those heavy duty projects
