Date: 1/29/13 6:35 AM I had to smile when I saw this
. Many years ago when I was 14, I spent a month living at my best friend's house during the summer. Her mom owned a couple big delis, and I used to work in her deli. The deli was also on her brother's farm so I also worked in the fields starting bright and early at 7 a.m.
As a teen, I never had time for breakfast so we'd just get up, dressed, and go to the farm to start work. We'd get there about 6:50 and head straight to the deli. I had a scoop or two of ice cream every morning for almost 4 straight weeks! And I had ice cream right after work around 12:30. And when I worked the deli, I ate more ice cream.
4 weeks later I was 10 lbs heavier when I returned home and decided I didn't like ice cream that much anymore
. I still don't particularly care for ice cream. If I'm going to eat it, it has to be a very special, unique flavor, one that I usually can't get. There is a place south of Harrisburg in Pennsylvania where I get ice cream once/year because they have special flavors.
So...I think I'll pass on ice cream for breakfast. Been there, done that. One too many times.
ETA, If there's a chocolate for breakfast day though, I'm so there!
