Being a plus size I find her shoulders fit without changes. It does work to measure something that fits and then decide what size to use. I would recommend her "Classic Blouse" to try. The collar works without fuss and it goes together quickly. It is a bit daunting the first time but give it a try. If you sign on for her emails you can get offers for sales on patterns and fabric.

My thoughts:
I think her sizing is a bit tricky to figure out at first, but the sizing is consistent throughout the pattern line. Her instructions are really good, often utilizing industry techniques. Many of her tops have french darts, which I dislike, so I rotate them to the underarm. Her yoga pant pattern is great! Peggy is always responsive to questions via email or phone. Hth

I've purchased several of her patterns after watching her webcasts, but have only tried one out so far. I made #312, Giorgio's Top which fit me O.K. I still need to work on the fit though. I want to sew up the Yoga pants next.

Her patterns are just like any other pattern. You have to work at the fit. Her shoulders are not over sized and there is cup sizing, which eliminats some of the fitting issues up front.
If you are plus size then you are going to have to adjust for the hips.

Peggy is very helpful. You can snap a picture of you in the garment and e-mail it to her. She will get back to you with suggestions.

If you go to the advanced search, upper left of your screen, select Silhouette patterns, then search, you'll find several reviews of her patterns. Good luck.

I have sewn her #150 Dana's top 2 times. The first time, I didn't choose the correct size so it was baggy especially in the front. I think my problem was because I measured several of my T-shirts and then took an average finished bust measurement. She suggests that you hold the fabric around your bust with about the amount of ease you like, then pin where it overlaps at center and then measure between pins and use that size, and choose cup size as per your bra size.

So the second time, I used that approach and just made it sleeveless. This time I like it quite well. Now I really want to make some variations in different fabrics and with different embellishments. I'd also like to try making the yoke a 1/2 inch longer and removing a 1/2 inch from the other front bodice part and see if I like that even better.

I think I would like the proportion of lines between shoulder and apex of bust better that way, but will have to try it to find out for sure.

I'm currently fiddling with one of her tops. unlike the previous poster, I find her email responses lacking. I've sent several with no reply. That's why I'm here trying to figure out how to do something.

currently trying her sweater set pattern. first try and don't like the small 3/8" seam allowances ( at least on that one). neckline is too high, and the darts are kinda weird. I have to read up on rotating them to another spot but not quite sure how to do it. I think I know, but not sure. I"m used to having darts drawn on the pattern. YOu draw them in - mark them and then sew them.

Hers have you cut and spread the pattern, then sew them together - unless I'm doing it all wrong (which is certainly possible). - but - like I said - she doesn't respond to my emails so I don't know.

She does seem to have some informative webcasts, but I believe if you are REALLY unsure of yourself - you are better off to ask someone here if you need help. The folks at PR are really great and always have helpful advice and in a timely fashion which is a wonderful thing if you're in the middle of something and get stuck.

I find sewing to be something that comes naturally to some and not to others, like me........................... I always question what I'm doing.......

The dart is a french dart that starts at the hip and goes to the bust circle. It looks different becasue she has cut out some of the middle of the dart so there isn't a lot of extra fabric, but it is really just a dart.
A few weeks ago she explained how it works in a webcast. Sorry I can't remember which one?
