Just noticed this really cute book:

but I have the feeling that animal hats are done.

Okay, what's next? Automotive hats? Office supply hats? Bridges and turnpikes? I feel the need to be at the TOP of a trend, instead of the last one out of the chute...

I love those hats. Even if they're not the whole animal, but just something like antlers. I don't know about the US but over here, lots of people still wear them in the winter.

Steampunk faux-cybernetic-implant hats. Time to get out those Borg knitting patterns.

I still see those hats sometimes. I've never really understood cute stuff on adults, but it seems to work on a few people.

I don't know what the next trend will be, but did this animal hat thing begin with what some celebrity wore? If so, keep your eyes on the hats celebrities are wearing.

I saw that too. If it were October I might consider it, but now am so done with winter and looking forward to Spring, and Spring-Summer sewing.
The animal hats are still very popular here in Michigan.

I'm still seeing them on adults in Chicago, too, though not nearly as often as last year. Little kids are still wearing them pretty often.

I've never understood them on adults, either.

I really wish the Ugg boots with leggings would go away, too.

Definitely still seeing tons of animal hats on kids in San Diego (we've had a cold winter).

Yeah, I'm starting to see them in thrift stores -- sometimes a sign that a fashion trend is done.

:/

Hey why not for adults? It's the perfect thing to wear with my animal slippers.
