Has anyone tested the Janome 1600P (straigth stitch semi-industrial) with heavy topstitching thread or upholstery thread ?
How does it look like ?
Thanks ! ------ Meet me at rosemiracles.wordpress.com |

Date: 1/30/13 12:14 PM You mean a topstitching needle, or a needle made for the fabric (leather, denim, microtex ...) ? ------ Meet me at rosemiracles.wordpress.com |

Date: 2/5/13 0:17 AM I have! Just make sure you have the same thread in the bobbin otherwise you won't like the results. |

Date: 2/5/13 10:26 AM Thank you ! So you put topstitching thread both in the needle AND in the bobbin ?
Wow, my machine barely tolerates sligthly heavy thread on one of them :)

1 member likes this. Date: 2/8/13 4:30 PM If you do use the heavy thread, it helps to get an extra bobbin case (if your dealer charges a lot for them, they aren't expensive from a sewing supply place online ). That way you can adjust the tension settings on the case for heavy thread, and you will have a very nice stitch. Your other case can be for regular sewing thread. |
