We'd like to try some of the food in the fabric district trucks. Anyone have favourites?

Maybe I'm paranoid but I don't eat off food trucks in the fabric district and I've been shopping there for 25 years. There aren't enough good bathrooms there to take a chance, IMHO!

Food trucks --- do you mean the hip and trendy food trucks that people stand in line to eat at? If so, you will have to venture out of the fabric district......try Hope and Grand from about 6th St. to 9th St. I run into them fairly frequently around 9th and Hope .... and if you are there, park in the lot on the corner and walk up 9th the FIDM Scholarship Store on the corner of 9th and Grand.

The food trucks that park in the fabric district are just catering trucks, nothing special.

Wander around the web a bit, I know there is a phone app that will tell you where the food trucks with a fan base are parked each day.

I've been eating off food trucks since the 80s, long before it became hip and trendy (and so much pricier!), even while pregnant, never a problem at all. Best chorizo burritos ever!
The place I was working (mid Wilshire though, not garment district, across from art museum complex) had a long line of them each day, each with lines. Good smells! I only indulged a couple times, though each vendor's choices vary, there was still a lot more high fat options than I'd like (I've changed my eating from the 80s!) and small portions but not prices. If it's an adventure and folks have some good recommendedations I defer to them, but there may be some other interesting or iconic (i.e. The Pantry) options while there.
