I did it again. Ironed on the wonder under on the fabric, the piece was too big and adhesive is stuck to the ironing board cover. The cover is cotton, new of course, and it seems to be stuck but good. I can't be the only person who has done this and would love some help.

I just did this to a new cover a couple weeks ago. Get one of those green scrubbies (the flat rectangle ones) and rub it over the surface when the board is cold and dry. Takes a while but it works.

Sometimes you can ease some of it back off by dry ironing on some Kraft paper (or a scrap of paper sack) on top of the adhesive, and then peeling it away while it's still warm.

I've had limited success placing baking paper over the adhesive and heating it with the iron. If you're lucky, the adhesive will attach to the paper and you can carefully peel it off while still warm.
I always use 2 teflon sheets (one under and one over) just in case, but someone else fused interfacing not only to the metal plate of my press, but also the cotton cover!!

I ironed over the adhesive with some scrap printer paper, that removed at least half of it. So it's a start.

I simply iron over it with another piece of fabric. The other fabric usually sucks it right up. A Magic Eraser also does a good job.
