2 members like this. Date: 2/1/13 10:30 AM Second baby quilt (36 x 48). I pieced it together 2 weeks ago at a one day sewing retreat. It took me two days to do the FMQ. My FMQ is getting a little bit better.
And
I used only fabric from my stash. (I am on a fabric fast. It was a close thing as I didn't have exactly the colors I wanted but I stuck to my fast rules so bouns points for me .

I used 505 spray to baste the layers together. Anyone know is there are going to be problems using this stuff? I will wash it before I send it off. It did stay together w/o puckering on the back side. -- Edited on 2/1/13 10:32 AM -- ------ Ada

Date: 2/1/13 10:41 AM Nice! So you FMQ'd those flower designs?? Good job! I do not use spray just because it is a chemical but don't really know what all the implications of the sprays are. I use use basting pins for small items like runners and the Microstitch gun for larger items like quilts. ------ Elna Excellence 740, Pfaff Quilt expression 4.0, Janome 300E, Brother 8500D, Janome 900CPX CoverPro, Brother 5234 Project Runway Serger, Singer Treadle

Date: 2/1/13 11:11 AM So pretty..I really like that pattern with the large and small squares...and the quilting is great!!
I've used the 505 spray and my cats have no problems lying on the quilts..either washed or unwashed. I do realize that they are not the same as a baby, but their smell sense is supposed to be better than humans ------ 2009-113.25 yds

Date: 2/1/13 11:41 AM It's soft and pretty and love the color choices. It can go for any baby with no problem. I like the stairs effect you choe and the 4 patch in the 2 corners is nextra nice. Keeps the eyes from leaving the quilt. ------ Quilting is relaxing to me. I love to play with fabrics, patterns and colors.
