I inherited a Janome Coverpro 1000CP and did my first project of hemming my daughter's tshirt. It turned out great! Now, what do I do with the loose threads on top after taking it off the machine? Do I just trim them off or do I take a sewing needle and sew them down to the other side of the hem?

There is a great youtube video of this.
Janome Coverpro

This lady has a great trick for finishing a seam. When you get to the end, turn the wheel so the needles are in the highest position. Lift the presser foot, and using something long and flat (a screwdriver, tweezers, scissors, etc.), reach under the fabric and hook the top threads. Pull them to the front and clip the threads. Now remove the object by pulling it back and to the left. The top threads will be pulled through the object, leaving you with just the looper thread to cut! Snip this, and you're all done; the seam is locked!

I could not get the video to open. I think this is the same one.

Don't forget to cut the looper thread after pulling the fabric straight back.

You can simply turn the "tail" back on the seam and run a few ZZ stitches on your regular machine. That's what I do.
