Date: 2/5/13 3:07 PM I'm excited because I placed my first order with them, because I heart the Marie Jacket. I'm wondering how long it takes to get to Canada? It's a race! Who will win? My BMV order or Style Arc?! ------ http://sewstashsew.wordpress.com/

Ooooooh, I like them! I've heard such good things about them for awhile now...maybe it's time I ordered a couple. I'm ordering from the States...wonder how long it takes for a pkg. from Australia? |

Date: 2/5/13 5:34 PM I like them so far. I just got a dozen SA's and I've got the Marni jacket (of course) cut out...waiting on thread from Superior.
It takes about 3 weeks to get to me. (edited to say 3 weeks...about 14 business days) -- Edited on 2/5/13 5:56 PM -- |

Date: 2/5/13 5:37 PM Most of my patterns have arrived 2-1/2 to 3 weeks after I place the order. The patterns aren't drawn up until we order, then they're shipped by Australian and US postal services...with a bit of inspection time thrown in...so many variables.
I just tell myself that it would have taken so much longer 200 years ago - all those months at sea.... wet parchment paper....smeared ink... drunken sailors handling my patterns...
A few weeks is a nothing to get your hands on these little beauties. ------ “Never try to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and it annoys the pig.” -Robert Heinlein and Ann's father. Thanks for the reminder, Ann.
Where are we going, and what am I doing in this handbasket?

I made my first Style Arc pattern back in 2010. Boy, how time flies! It feels like only yesterday. Much like watching a child grow. Anyway, I tried my first pattern at a time when I was very disillusioned and frustrated with the Dinosaur 4 (Big4) and home sewing patterns in general. Style Arc brought all the joy of sewing back to me. I knew I wasn't oddly shaped, and I shouldn't be having the fit issues I was with other pattern companies, and Style Arc proved this to me.
The patterns themselves are so easy to use too, even though I'm two sizes. It's not only easier, but quicker to alter and cut-out a single size pattern where the seam lines are marked. Plus they use sensible seam allowances.
Then there is the great styles. Current styles as seen in the stores, not the same recycled patterns I see over and over from other companies. The patterns are on-trend, practical everyday styles I like to wear, not high fashion stuff I don't or can't wear.
While I don't have the time these days to photograph and review most of the patterns I sew, I am busily sewing with my Style Arc patterns. More so than with any other company.
Love, love, love! ------ Belinda. Melbourne, Australia
